A Caring, Ethical, and Educational Postpartum Support
Serving Families in Okotoks, Highriver,Nanton and Claresholm areas
A Postpartum Doula may seem to be an investment, but they are worth it, as they can teach you new skills such as bottle feeding twins at the same time and different types of baby wearing to name a couple. Some of these skills and resources are things that you may have never heard of or been shown before. A postpartum doula is there to help with any concerns that either parent has, and Moffattdoulas looks after the family as a whole. Even if that’s giving parents the ability to have a well deserved nap!
Some of a postpartum Doulas responsibilities are:

Light House Hold Chores
Postpartum Doulas can help with light house hold chores such as: laundry, dishes, dusting, taking the dog for a walk, vacuuming and mopping.

Meal Preparation
Looking after and feeding a newborn is time consuming and hard work. A postpartum doula can prepare dinner for you and your family by cutting and cleaning vegetables for later use, and making simple meals for your family.

Infant Care
This is where your postpartum doula will be invaluable. A postpartum doula can help with breast feeding, bottle feeding, showing you how to baby wrap, help with swaddling, give you resources for infant raising, helping bath the baby, help with umbilical cord care, sibling support, and help with emotional support just to name a few examples. Postpartum doulas are here to make the transition into family life easier.
Postpartum Doula: A Non-Medical Professional who supports the mother and her family after the birth of a baby.
Traditionally women have helped other women with birth and infant care. This is a tradition that moffattdoulas wishes to continue. A woman and her family should have the resources, emotional and physical help they need. Moffattdoulas will help provide support during your babies first year. I also offer cloth diapering education for anyone with intrest in cloth diapering at no extra cost to usual doula fees.
